I was too young to remember this, but my parents have told me this story many times. Evidently, when I was around 3 years old, we were on a family outing and happened into a Pottery Barn Kids (a home furnishings store, if you aren't aware). There was a little easel that I was drawing on while my parents were shopping. Ultimately, it was time to go, and I clearly wasn't having it, because I responded by growling "DAVID DRAW," in the most gravelly demon voice a 3 year old could muster. Clearly, when I say that I have always known I wanted to be an artist, that is wholly and entirely true.
